No Ambler Road
Worked With: Native Movement
About Project: The proposed Ambler Road is a 211-mile industrial access road intended to facilitate the development of at least four unproven and undeveloped large-scale mines and potentially hundreds of smaller mines across the Ambler mining district in Alaska. It would cross 11 major river systems and thousands of smaller rivers, streams, and wetlands critical to fish and wildlife and the communities that depend on them.
Project Goal: Spread awareness and encourage communities in Alaska to attend public hearings and send in public comment (in-person & online) to the Alaska Bureau of Land Management in hopes to push their decision to the “No Action Alternative” which would continue to halt the production of the Ambler Road.
Assets: Social media graphics to attend the Native Movement No Ambler Road Art Build & Rally, and Countdown graphics to send in comments. Email items notifying communities about the upcoming hearings and public comment opportunities
